Entrepreneur, Funky-J works today as a consultant and artistic director for various projects and just recently created J9 Productions with her companion and partner.
 
Together, they put their skills and their expertise at the service of various projects such as music videos, commercials, short and feature films, or live shows, production, direction and digital communication.
Activism is Funky-J’s backbone.
The organization of events is for her a way to promote and push the culture of Locking, but also to allow the meeting between the old and the new generations.
Since 2015, she has organized, among other things, Lock is not a Joke (Locking’s first dance camp in France)
Funky-J’s personnal relationship with the pioneers of this dance, and her roots in the dance world, allows her to invite true legends to her events.

Funk is not a Joke celebrates Funk style! Workshops, jams but primarily Locking, Popping et Waacking battles. It lets to get together for passionate funk lovers!

Created in 2005 by Gemini (Dancer choreographer) and Priska (content producer), the Locking4life community is today present in
15 countries around the world. Funky-J is taking care of the France pole.

Born from a common passion for multimedia and dance, in particular Locking (Funkstyle, being the basis of hip hop culture), Locking4life developed many actions such as live shows, mediums and short films, organization of events, competitions, battles, summer camps, conferences, but also, is very present on social medias, and being the most important community and platform in the world, the actors of Locking4life shine and unite all generations around their passion.

Transmission and sharing with the new generations is one of the keys to vault of the Locking4life community.
We help young dancers develop a creative mind and innovative while remaining connect to the essence of Locking and the funk culture

Lock is not a joke is the first locking dance camp in France.
Since 2015, it has brought together the best Locking teachers in the world, as well as pioneers and legends of this style, to allow students from all over the world to have access to quality education.
With also a concert, jams and a big international battle, Lock is not a Joke camp is an exceptional week.
With 5 qualifications worldwide, Lock is not a Joke is growing every year, to allow everyone to learn in a unique setting.
